Meet The Team
Canyonsleeper delivers quality test system software for the Aerospace industry. It was started in May 2020 by Shawn Walpole as an experiment to see if a business could survive by focusing on the customer experience. Years later Canyonsleeper still exists thanks to repeat customers. Canyonsleeper's mission is to make each project a positive experience for the customer.
Shawn graduated from the University of Utah with a Mechanical Engineering degree in 2000 and worked for what was then National Instruments for 5 years. During that time he loved providing customer support and developing LabVIEW with the LabVIEW development team. After working for 15 years total as a LabVIEW consultant/developer with Moore Good Ideas and Endigit, he started Canyonsleeper. Shawn is profoundly grateful for the positive experiences he’s had with his former employers, customers, and the LabVIEW community in general. When he’s not working hard to provide a good customer experience, Shawn enjoys spending time with his wife and 5 children mountain biking, hiking, and camping.
Hayden is currently pursueing a Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Utah and plans to graduate in the Fall of 2025. He has worked for Canyonsleeper between balancing classes since 2023 providing help with LabVIEW code, Reporting, and Documentation.
